Program Map: World Languages Certificate, Spanish Option

If you follow this degree map, you can complete this certificate in three (3) semesters.  See an academic advisor for a customized degree map that works for you.  To earn a Certificate of Achievement in this field of study, you must achieve a minimum 2.0 (‘C’) grade point average on the courses listed below.

First Semester

SPAN 1103 - Spanish I  (Course must be completed with a “C” or better.) 3
SPAN 1213 - Spanish II  (Course must be completed with a “C” or better.) 3
Spanish Controlled Electives - Select six (6) credit hours of courses from the list of controlled electives. 6

  • To maintain financial aid eligibility, a student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 1.70 during the first 30 credit hours attempted.  See a financial aid counselor to determine your financial aid status.
  • Download MS Office from MyTCC.
  • Form a study group, join a student organization, or volunteeer at a community service site.
  • Check academic calendar for important dates and deadlines impacting classes and financial aid.
  • Meet with an academic advisor before enrolling for the next semester.

Second Semester
