Program Map: Medical Laboratory Technician Certificate, Phlebotomy Option

To earn this Certificate of Achievement, you must achieve a minimum 2.0 (‘C’) grade point average on the courses listed below. After admission to the Phlebotomy program and before the semester starts, you must do the following:
- Meet with a financial aid counselor, if on financial aid.
- Complete all risk management requirements in preparation for the clinical setting (CPR, vaccinations, flu shot, TB test, etc.), including clearance on a national background check and negative drug screen.
- Meet with an academic advisor before enrolling and to file for graduation if completing the Phlebotomy Certificate. Graduation checks are often done as a group in class prior to beginning clinical.
