Degree Map: Mathematics A.S.

First Semester

Meets General Education recommended elective and is a prerequisite for CSYS 1203.  To receive an associate degree from TCC, students must demonstrate computer proficiency by taking this course, proficiency testing, or petition.

MATH placement depends on prerequisite course work, HSGPA, SAT or ACT test score, or placement test score.  If MATH 1715 is taken, it will count toward five (5) credit hours of the eleven (11) hours of recommended electives for this degree.

Transfer Information

This degree is intended for transfer to a four-year university for completion of a baccalaureate degree. This degree may transfer to several universities and multiple programs within those universities. You should work closely with an academic advisor each semester to make certain you are enrolled in the correct courses for a seamless transfer process and you are encouraged to begin a dialogue with your intended transfer school as early as possible. Early coordination between TCC academic advisors and advisors from selected four-year institutions can streamline the transfer process. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that he/she understands the program/admission/transfer requirements for the transfer school. Current transfer agreements with Northeastern State University (NSU) are provided below.
