Degree Map: Veterinary Technology AAS


This degree map provides the semester-by-semester course sequencing a full-time student will follow to complete this degree.  To earn the Associate in Applied Science degree, you must achieve a grade point average of 2.0 as a minimum on all coursework required for the degree.  All Veterinary Technology (VETT) courses must be completed with a ‘C’ or better to graduate.

Note the Milestones below each semester.  Milestones are reminders of actions you should take during that semester to help keep you on track for degree completion.

  • Applicants must request a current Information/Application packet from the Program office 918-595-8212. Career Shadowing requirement - completed and submitted with application.
  • Students should have an aptitude for science-based courses and should update their math skills.
  • Applicants must have GPA 2.0 or better to apply to the Veterinary Technology Program.
  • To maintain financial aid eligibility, a student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 1.70 during the first 30 credit hours attempted and complete 67% of the courses attempted.  Review your Financial Aid Dashboard or visit the Financial Aid Office to determine your financial aid status.
  • Download MS Office from MyTCC.
  • Form a study group, join a student organization, or volunteer at a community service site.
  • Visit the writing, math and science, or technology learning centers for free individual tutoring support services.
  • Meet with an academic advisor before enrolling for the next semester.

  • Academic and Special fees apply.
  • All risk management requirements must be completed in preparation for the clinical setting (vaccinations, TB test, etc.), including clearance on a national background check and negative drug screen.

  • Vaccinations shall be obtained by student through their physician prior to Fall enrollment. Proof of vaccination and test results are required. Tetanus (within 10 years) and TB test (within 1 year); Rabies pre-exposure vaccination - arranged by Program during 1st semester. $1000 fee (not covered by Tulsa Achieves scholarship).
