AVST 1364 - Air Traffic Control Radar Operations I In this course, the student progresses from basic VFR tower operations to learning the concepts and rules for the application of radar in air traffic control, including: radar identification, basic radar vectoring, radar separation rules, radar use in instrument approaches and final approach course intercepts, arrival and departure procedures, and transfer of radar identification. During the latter stages of the course, students will see classroom topics demonstrated in the lab and will begin hands-on training in the simulator. Prerequisite: AVST 1354 and AVST 2213
