DHYG 2395 - Clinical Dental Hygiene IV Further advancement of evidence-based procedural practices; care plans; radiography, non-surgical periodontal therapy and advanced instrumentation techniques and equipment; administration of nitrous oxide sedation and local anesthesia; case presentations; offsite service learning rotations (up to 16 hours); colloquium of various dental topics. Course includes 240 clinical hours.
Prerequisites: Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and successful completion of all previous Dental Hygiene (DHYG) coursework with a grade of “C” or better.
