DRFT 2223 - Mechanical Design I (Computer Aided Design) A study of mechanical design principles which addresses such problems as geometric arrangements, effects of motion of one part on others, and effects of forces. Also addressed are properties of materials, limitation of manufacturing processes and economics, and the use of handbooks to aid in the study of the interrelationship of parts. Computer aided drafting equipment is utilized. Includes lab component.
Prerequisites: MATH 1513 or MATH 1454 and DRFT 2204 .
