HSVC 2713 - Crisis Intervention Strategies and Practice Human services workers and helping professionals engage with individuals at varying levels of crisis. This study of crisis intervention will include culturally effective models of responding, counseling techniques, assessment and intervention strategies, and community resources. Crisis intervention specialization areas include mental illness, substance abuse, suicide, grief, sexual assault, and violence. Course includes lecture plus a supervised practicum in an approved social services agency.
Prerequisite: HSVC 1113 and HSVC 1213
