HITC 1213 - Statistics & Data Analytics

Review descriptive statistics, calculate health care, vital, and productivity statistics.  Exam indices (e.g., diagnosis, procedure, and physician), registers (e.g., birth, death, cancer and trauma) and databases maintained by health information management professionals. Review the concepts of research methodologies and health informatics and develop skills to perform database query, data mining and data analytics.

Prerequisite: MATH 2193   and all previous HITC coursework with a grade of ”C” or better or instructor approval. Includes lab component.
