CHLD 2103 - Child GuidanceThis course presents the theoretical basis for the use of constructive child guidance and discipline techniques in programs serving children. Students learn observational methods and behavior analysis to help determine the most appropriate guidance techniques and understand the impact of development on children’s behavior. Field experience facilitates the acquisition of observational skills and provides models for discussion and learning child guidance and classroom management skills. Assigned field experiences. Prerequisites: CHLD 2003 with a grade of “C” or better or concurrent enrollment.
