DHYG 1333 - Pathology, Etiology and ImmunologyThis course provides an overview of the principles of general pathology, the study of pathology of organ systems of most importance to the dental hygienist and an in-depth study of pathology of the head, neck, and oral structures. The course includes the etiology of disease, host responses of inflammation, repair and immunology, and common clinical features of disease. It emphasizes visual differentiation between normal and abnormal tissues and conditions Prerequisites: Successful completion of all previous Dental Hygiene (DHYG) coursework with a grade of “C” or better.
