DHYG 2343 - Dental Materials, Techniques and Support ServicesPresentation of procedures and materials used in dentistry, including their chemical composition and physical characteristics. Allows student to perform procedures that fall within the scope of dental hygiene practice, manipulate materials, and explain procedures to patients. Also included are the rationale and use of impressions, study models, sealants and the air polisher. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all previous Dental Hygiene (DHYG) coursework with a grade of “C” or better. Includes lab component.
