SOCI 2043 - Juvenile Delinquency (S)A study of the nature, extent, and cause of juvenile delinquency. Primary emphasis is placed on the role of social and environmental factors in the origin of these activities. Also included are an examination of the nature of law as it pertains to delinquent behavior, both historically and in contemporary society, and the role of police, courts, and juvenile institutions in relation to these behaviors. Prerequisite: SOCI 1113 .
