AVST 2273 - Air Traffic Control Career Prep This course is designed to assist the ATC student in preparation for a career in Air Traffic Control. The class will discuss fully the benefits of the career field, including: wages, health and retirement benefits, different types of leave, and how the hiring process works. This course will also look at how to deal with stress and fatigue within the life of an Air Traffic Controller and also prepare a student for the ATSA test, the entrance exam for the FAA, and will examine closely the skills required to score competitively on the ATSA. Course must be completed with a grade of “C” or better. Special fee required. Please see a TCC Academic Advisor for enrollment assistance.
