NURS 1141 - Overview of Professional Role Development I Introduces nursing process and knowledge, skill, and attitudes required for the six areas of competency in nursing profession: patient centered care; teamwork and collaboration; best practice; quality improvement; safety; and informatics. Emphasis on communication; professionalism; accountability; caring interventions; culture and diversity; health, wellness, illness and injury (could say health beliefs here instead); health care systems; and nursing judgment (critical thinking, patient preferences, and best practice). 0
