CHLD 2103 - Child Guidance Presents the theoretical basis for the use of constructive child guidance and discipline techniques in programs serving children. Students learn observational methods and behavior analysis to help determine the most appropriate guidance techniques and understand the impact of development on children’s behavior. Assigned field experiences facilitate the acquisition of observational skills and provide models for discussion and learning child guidance and classroom management skills.
Prerequisite CHLD 2003 with a “C” or better (may be taken concurrently). Semester Offered Fall, Spring, Summer
