MUSC 1023 - Music Theory II Continuation of MUSC 1013. Continued work in analysis, part-writing and harmonization with diatonic triads and seventh chords and their inversions. Introduction to modulation and dominant secondary and secondary leading tone chords. Introduction to binary and ternary forms.
Prerequisite Prerequisite: MUSC 1013 and MUSC 1061 with a grade of “C” or better or instructor approval. Corequisite Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in Class Piano or Private Piano and for music majors. Piano corequisite may be waived by demonstration of piano proficiency.
