ART 1063 - Art History Survey II A survey of the history of global art and architecture from the global Middle Ages to the present. The study of global artistic traditions and representative works from cultures across the world and basic artistic principles and vocabulary. Analysis of how art reflects social, political, religious, and cultural contexts. Emphasis is placed on developing visual literacy, critical analysis, and an understanding of cross-cultural exchanges that have shaped the modern and contemporary world. Acquire foundational art historical skills to prepare for advanced study.
Required of all art majors.
