ART 1113 - Art Appreciation Introduction to the visual arts from prehistory to the present, with a focus on developing visual literacy and critical appreciation. The study of global artistic traditions, styles, and media. Analysis of how works of art reflect cultural values, historical contexts, and human experience. Emphasis is placed on developing the skills to observe, interpret, and engage thoughtfully with works of art across time and cultures, fostering a lifelong understanding of the role of art in society.
