CHLD 2253 - Child Development PracticumThe practicum is the culminating experience for the Child Development student. Practicum site placements will be individualized based on the student’s degree option. Students will interact with children and/or families teaching appropriate curriculum and activities. A portfolio of previously completed course work will be compiled by each student to document student knowledge, skills and abilities as they relate to the NAEYC associate degree standards for early childhood education. Offered spring semester only. Prerequisites: Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry background check and CHLD 2003 , completed with a grade of “C” or better. This course cannot be taken concurrently with CHLD 2513 .
