DGMD 2423 - Adobe After EffectsOverview of key concepts, techniques, and tools with emphasis on basics, work area, creating animation using effects and presets, working with kinetic typography synchronizing audio layers, working with shape layers, working with masks, animating with the puppet-pin tools, keying, performing color correction, exploring 3D elements, using 3D effects, nesting, rotoscoping, motion tracking, stabilizing, and rendering. Principles of design and motion graphics will be shared. Basic script and storyboard techniques will be discussed for the creative development of all animated narratives. Students are encouraged to obtain Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) status. Prerequisites: CSCI 1203 or instructor approval. Offered fall and spring terms.
