Program Description
This program prepares the student with the necessary knowledge and skills to gain employment as an engineering technician, field service technician, research and development technician, or production technician in the field of electronics and for advancement to positions of increasing responsibility. Students will design and build solid state amplifiers, antennas, utilize aeronautical engineering principles, and microprocessor instructed robotics. Graduates can add to their portfolios by qualifying for industry certifications administered by the International Society of Certified Electronic Technicians (ISCET), the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA), General Radio Operators License (GROL-FCC) and the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET). This program also allows incoming credit from approved Military Electronics Training Facilities.
