Geographic Information Systems Certificate Program Map

  • GEOG 2343/GIS 2343 Introduction to Geographic Information Systems and GIS 2354 Computer Cartography are only offered during the 1st 8 week session of fall semesters.
  • GIS 2373 GIS Data Acquisition and Management is only offered during the 2nd 8 week session of fall semesters.
  • Check academic calendar for important dates and deadlines impacting classes and financial aid.
  • Meet with an academic advisor to file for graduation. 
  • To maintain financial aid eligibility, a student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 if 31 or more hours have been attempted.  See a financial aid counselor to determine your financial aid status.
  • Students must make a minimum of “C” for continued enrollment and graduation in the GIS Certificate Program

Second Semester

Milestones


  • GEOG 2383 Advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is only offered during the 1st 8 week session of spring semesters.
  • GIS 2393 Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Practicum is only offered during the 2nd 8 week session of spring semesters.
  • Students must make a minimum of “C” for continued enrollment and graduation in the GIS Certificate Program.
  • Consult with an academic advisor to complete a Petition for Computer Proficiency.
  • Meet with an academic advisor for a graduation check.
  • Students must make a minimum of “C” for graduation in the GIS Certificate Program.
  • Visit Career Services to build your resume.
  • See an academic advisor to file for graduation.
