Engineering Technology Drafting & Design Certificate Program Map


This program map is an example of how you can complete this certificate in two semesters as a part-time student.  Alternatively, as a full-time student, you can earn this certificate plus the AAS Engineering Technology degree in two years by following the program map for the AAS Engineering Technology Drafting and Design Option. All courses in this certificate can be embedded in the AAS. See an academic advisor for a customized program map that works for you.  To earn this certificate, you must achieve a minimum 2.0 (‘C’) grade point average on the courses listed below. Note the Milestones below each semester.  Milestones are reminders of actions you should take during that semester to help keep you on track for certificate completion.

First Semester

Milestones


  • Check the academic calendar for important dates and deadlines impacting classes and financial aid.
  • To maintain financial aid eligibility, a student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 1.70 during the first 30 credit hours attempted and complete 67% of the courses attempted.  Review your Financial Aid Dashboard or visit the Financial Aid Office to determine your financial aid status.
  • Download MS Office from MyTCC.
  • Form a study group, join a student organization, or volunteer at a community service site.
  • Visit the writing, math and science, or technology learning centers for free individual tutoring support services.
  • Meet with an academic advisor for a graduation check.
  • If entering the workforce after graduation, visit Career Services to build your resume.

  • Important Note: DRFT 2204 is a prerequisite for DRFT 2223. These may be taken concurrently with department approval.  See an academic advisor to request a prerequisite override.

  • Meet with an academic advisor to file for graduation and to discuss how these courses can also be applied toward the requirements for other certificates or degrees in Engineering Technology.
