Electronics Technology, Electronics Technician Certificate Program Map


This program map is an example of how you can complete this certificate in three to four semesters as a part-time student.  Alternatively, as a full-time student, you can earn this certificate plus the AAS Electronics Technology degree in two years by following the program map for the AAS Electronics Technology degree. All courses in this certificate can be embedded in the AAS.See an academic advisor for a customized program map that works for you. To earn a Certificate of Achievement in this field of study, you must achieve a minimum grade of ‘C’ on the courses listed below. Note the Milestones below each semester. Milestones are reminders of actions you should take during that semester to help keep you on track for certificate completion.

First Semester

  • To maintain financial aid eligibility, a student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 1.70 during the first 30 credit hours attempted and complete 67% of the courses attempted.  Review your Financial Aid Dashboard or visit the Financial Aid Office to determine your financial aid status.
  • Download MS Office from MyTCC.
  • Form a study group, join a student organization, or volunteer at a community service site.
  • Visit the writing, math and science, or technology learning centers for free individual tutoring support services.
  • Meet with an academic advisor before enrolling for the next semester.

Total Credit Hours: 3-16 (select total of 6-10 controlled elective hours for all semesters combined)

  • If entering the workforce after graduation, visit Career Services to build your resume.

Total Credit Hours: 4-14 (select total of 6-10 controlled elective hours for all semesters combined)

  • NOTE: ELET 2333 and ELET 2525 are controlled elective options that may take an additional semester due to prerequisites and likely availability in Spring only.
