Program Description

This program comprises a customizable first two years of coursework for a professional program in Engineering at a four-year institution and lays the foundation for being a successful engineer. Along with introductory courses, you will take courses in the basic engineering sciences, physics, math and chemistry.

Humanities 6 Hours

General Education Required Electives 3 hours


  • Select three (3) credit hours from courses in Fine Arts (Art, Music, Theatre), Foreign Language, or Social Sciences. (Economics, Political Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, History, COMM 1113).

Specialized Course Requirements Credit Hours: 39-48


Total Credit Hours: 60-69


  • Additional preparatory course work may be required if students do not meet a minimum placement score on a secondary placement test. In this case. If additional Math is required, it will fill any open General Education electives. If General Education electives have already been met, then this degree could require up to 72 hours to complete. See your academic advisor for more information.
