Program Description

This certificate program provides foundational skills for students seeking careers in the rapidly expanding unmanned aerial systems (UAS) industry. Coursework emphasizes electrical systems, fluid power, robotics, fabrication, and safety practices critical for maintaining and supporting UAV operations in commercial, agricultural, and defense settings. Upon successful completion, graduates will be prepared for entry-level roles in UAV maintenance, support, and related industries.

Upon successful completion of this program you will be able to:

  • Apply fundamental electrical theory and safety practices in UAV systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic components used in aerial and ground support applications.
  • Identify and explain key subsystems of unmanned aerial vehicles.
  • Integrate industrial robotics principles with UAV maintenance and operational support.
  • Utilize fabrication tools and techniques for UAV structural maintenance and repair.
  • Implement safety protocols in accordance with industry standards for aerial, fabrication, and industrial environments.

Program Description

This certificate focuses on the foundational skills in mechanical and civil drafting, focusing on the AutoCAD suite of products.  This certificate will take students from 2D drawings to 3D models using state of the art drafting software.
