Aviation Sciences Technology Private Pilot Certificate Program Map

The Private Pilot Certificate program will prepare the applicant with the required flight and ground training necessary to be eligible to test for the Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot Certificate. To earn this Certificate of Achievement, you must achieve a minimum 2.0 (‘C’) grade point average on the courses listed below.

Milestones
- Check the academic calendar for important dates and deadlines impacting classes and financial aid.
- To maintain financial aid eligibility, a student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 1.70 during the first 30 credit hours attempted and complete 67% of the courses attempted. Review your Financial Aid Dashboard or visit the Financial Aid Office to determine your financial aid status.
- Download MS Office from MyTCC.
- Form a study group, join the Aviation Club, or volunteer at a community service site.
- Visit the writing, math, or technology learning centers for free individual tutoring support services.
- Students must complete all AVST courses with a grade of C or better in order to receive credit and progress to the next course.
- Upon completing the Private Pilot Ground and Flight Lab within this certificate, a student becomes eligible to pursue the FAA Private Pilot Certificate.
