Fire & Emergency Medical Services Technology AAS Program Map

This degree map provides you with the semester-by-semester course sequencing to complete this degree in five semesters as a full-time student. To earn the Associate in Applied Science degree, you must achieve a grade point average of 2.0 (‘C’) as a minimum on all coursework required for the degree and a minimum grade of ‘C’ on all FEMS courses. Note the Milestones below each semester. Milestones are reminders of actions you should take during that semester to help keep you on track for degree completion.

Milestones
- EMSP 1119 requires for 12-hour ride-along shifts.
- Sign up for NREMT exam upon completion of EMSP 1119.
- Meet with an academic advisor to file for graduation for earned FEMS certififcate.
- If entering the workforce, visit with career services to bulid your resume.
- Meet with Health Science Advisor for potential PLA credits.
- Check the academic calendar for important dates and deadlines impacting classes and financial aid.
- To maintain financial aid eligibility, a student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 1.70 during the first 30 credit hours attempted and complete 67% of the courses attempted. Review your Financial Aid Dashboard or visit the Financial Aid Office to determine your financial aid status.
- Download MS Office from MyTCC.
- Meet with a peer tutor and/or Academic Success Coach, or volunteer at a community service site.
- Visit the writing, math and science, or technology learning centers for free individual tutoring support services.
- Meet with your assigned health science advisor before enrolling for the next semester.
