BIOT 2334 - Biotechnology Proteomics and Instrumentation Theory, applications, and operation of instruments with emphasis on protein purification in both an R&D laboratory and a biomanufacturing facility. An introduction to protein bioinformatics tools is included. Calibration of instruments, quantitative and qualitative analysis by chromatography, protein and enzyme assays, spectrophotometry, and SDS-PAGE gel analysis. Includes lab component.
Prerequisites: BIOT 1533 and CHEM 1415 with a grade of “C” or better. Courses may be taken concurrently. Semester Offered Spring
