HITC 2133 - Reimbursement Systems

Introduced to the Medicare reimbursement systems utilized in the following health care settings: Acute Care Facilities (Hospital Inpatient & Outpatient), Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Rehabilitation Facilities, Psychiatric Facilities, and Hospice.  Also examined are Managed Care Organizations, Commercial Insurance, Indian Health Services, Capitation and Fee Schedules.

 

Prerequisite: All previous HITC coursework with a grade of ”C” or better or instructor approval.
