NURS 2234 - Maternal Newborn and Pediatric Nursing In-depth exposure to maternal-newborn, pediatric and family nursing concepts. Explore selected exemplars for application of nursing process among maternal-newborn, pediatric and family populations. Emphasis on knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding safe nursing care; focused assessment; health coaching; and nursing clinical judgment (critical thinking, patient preferences, and best practice). Includes lab component (SLE).
Prerequisite: NURS 1111 , NURS 1114 , NURS 1142 and NURS 1163 , all with “C” or better. Corequisite: NURS 2221 . Semester Offered Fall, Spring
