Engineering Technology AS

Program Description

This program comprises the first two years of coursework for a program transfer to engineering technology. This program is specifically aligned with ET programs in electrical (EET), mechanical (MET), construction and agricultural systems engineering technology at a four-year institution and lays the foundation for being a successful engineering technologist. Engineering technology uses an applied approach to troubleshoot, modify, design, and develop new or existing systems in industry. Depending on the engineering technology emphasis, courses selected and laboratory experiences may include computer aided design, 3-D modeling, industrial power supplies, digital, solid state amplifier design, print reading and much more. The Engineering Technology curriculum provides preparation for outstanding career opportunities in modern industry that depend upon electrical, mechanical, construction and system controls or computations.
