If you are a full-time student taking at least 15 hours per semester and follow this degree map, you can complete this associate degree in two years. See an academic advisor for a customized degree map that works for you. To be recommended for an Associate in Arts degree, you must achieve a grade point average of 2.0 as a minimum on all coursework attempted (minimum of 60 hours). All ENGL courses must be completed with a grade of ‘C’ or better.
The English AA can be completed online, though not all English classes are offered online each semester. ENGL 1113 and ENGL 1213 are offered online every semester. ENGL 2413 is offered online every spring and fall, and often in the summer. ENGL 2543, ENGL 2773, and ENGL 2893 are generally offered online in the fall. ENGL 2653 and ENGL 2883 are generally offered online in the spring. Creative writing courses (ENGL 2433, ENGL 2443, ENGL 2453, ENGL 2553, ENGL 2473, and ENGL 2493) are offered in various modalities, and there is no set schedule for when classes are offered online.
Note the Milestones below each semester. Milestones are reminders of actions you should take during that semester to help keep you on track for degree completion and success.
