NURS 2232 - Maternal-Newborn NursingIn-depth exposure to maternal-newborn nursing concepts. Explores selected exemplars for application of nursing process among maternal-newborn population. Emphasis on knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding medication administration; focused assessment of prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, fetal, and newborn patient; health coaching; and nursing judgment (critical thinking, patient preferences, and best practice). Prerequisites: Completion of all previous Nursing courses with a grade of “C” or better. Corequisites: NURS 2231 , NURS 2242 , NURS 2243 . Includes lab component.
