CHEM 1365 - General Chemistry for EngineersSurvey course for mechanical engineering students needing only one semester of chemistry. Includes thermodynamics, atomic structure, solid state, materials, equilibria, acids and bases, and electrochemistry. Course may serve as a substitute for CHEM 1315 and/or CHEM 1415 in engineering programs only. Students should seek advisement regarding transferability before enrollment. Prerequisite: One year of high school chemistry or one semester of college chemistry (CHEM 1114 or equivalent) and MATH 1513 with a grade of “C” or better or equivalent. Includes lab component.
