ART 2423 - Graphic Design IThis course involves an examination of the fundamental elements and principles of design as related to the field of visual communication. Students will learn to solve basic design problems through a developed creative process. Topics of creative problem solving will involve the practice of research gathering, brainstorm and rapid ideation exercises, rough development of multiple concepts, and the production of final creative solutions. Visual communication problems tasked will explore both word and image. The development of technical and presentation skills will be emphasized. Prerequisites: ART 1013 and ART 1123 . Includes lab component.
